PocketCents’ GeoLocation technology has the ability to target users from as small as a 5 mile radius to greater than 90% accuracy. This allows advertisers to narrow their target audience geographically. PocketCents routinely has advertisers who desire to target specific cities as well as national and global advertisers. The advertiser simply selects a postal code and then selects an effective radius for that ad to be shown. The technology is designed to work best for individuals whose specific target markets are geographic locations.
Targeting: Industry Category
Beyond location, PocketCents makes sure that ads will be displayed along side relevant content by matching the ads to any of over 70 different industry categories. These are categories such as, “automotive” or “food & drink,” where the users are browsing around websites seeking content within the pages. They encounter ads within these pages that are thus related to the content in this way. The users viewing ads are considered to be a good cross-section representation of the total population of Internet users for that category.
